
We headed out to the 30th anniversary celebration for our local NPR station, WUGA. And I had just received a new book by Larry Fink (not at all in the style of this image, but this reminds me of the first images of his I saw many years ago).

Just what we need.

I try to do a neighborhood loop every evening. Doesn’t always happen, but I try.



The upper is a blanket with scenes of my home town on it, the lower a quilt my oldest friend made for me years ago. Both stay close by in the home office.

Met some colleagues for lunch at Pulaski Heights BBQ (highly recommended) and then walked down the block to make a few frames, including of an old Saab.




I’m not sure what the proper response for a professor is when you find your students dancing to a song that was on the radio when you were in high school … but there they were, dancing to the tune of “Footloose.”

Strange place for a picnic, but okay …
