We ran the safety check for the next rally, it was a little dirty …

Made it to the second day of the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar. As usual, I spent more time talking in the wings than listening in the halls.

Started the day picking up the wife’s car from the shop, then spent the rest at a board of director’s meeting for the Red and Black.
Lunch was something new as the students were invited to join the board for an open discussion about the publication, careers, challenges, etc.

The clean out continues and a restaurant is now gone. Chains tend not to do real well in downtown Athens.

We are starting a major renovation on the dean’s suite at the college. Everyone has been moved out and the disassembly has begun with demolition slated for the end of the semester.
It means we will lose our mailboxes and all their Art Deco beauty. Report is they are going to be repurposed for a restoration project elsewhere in town. (I asked, because I really wanted my mailbox door …)

Coming in to campus from a different direction, I came across one of the campus preachers and an apparent protestor. Seemed appropriate on election day.
