The Foxfire Museum has been on my wish list for a visit for years. Started as a high school project int he late 1960s, the museum is still collecting oral histories and reporting about life in the Appalachian regions. They’ve collected more than 20 structures and relocated them, along with items from many eras.

A wonderful history lesson, all started – and continued – by teenagers.
