Someone is in a new office that wasn’t quite ready.

Coming out of my third session for the Georgia Scholastic Press Association Fall Conference, there she was.

I show my intro students a documentary called The President’s Photographer every semester. It’s a great film, and at the end I ask one question: Is he a journalist? Then I split them up and have them debate it out.
Today, for the first time, I had a clear majority say he is not: 11-7.
They even dragged out the Code of Ethics from the National Press Photographers Association.
There’s hope.

Somedays, you just look up and go, whoa …

Guess what game is this weekend …

The winning Hackathon team, complete with two University of Georgia students. Man, am I tired …

We hosted a Hackathon with students from 17 universities descending on Grady. We put them in teams and had them work on ideas around image and information verification. It was cool.
