We went down to what my wife refers to as Tinytown College to take the Girl Female Adult Child out for her birthday and watch her spring concert.
Setting
Walking across campus in the evening light, headed to a retirement party for my colleague David Hazinski. It feels like we’ve had a lot of transitions of late, big personalities departing on a regular basis. I’m ready for a little calmness to settle in – these have been very good people.
Do Not Take
The spring construction season has commenced.
Long Morning Shadows
The sun breaks across this campus in spectacular and monocolored ways at times.
Soaring
Spring growth, blue skies and hawks in flight – not a bad day.
Aligned
Seeing patterns early today. Or, you know, not.
Cold Gold Rush
My friend and fellow professor Billy Weeks and I lured eight of our students, from two universities, to Dahlonega for a little competition. Students from the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga and the University of Georgia were given two phrases to illustrate and 90 minutes to get them posted to Instagram.
While the kids worked, we wandered, as well.
