Kickoff

The football season opened today with a total mismatch, but the visitors sure seemed happy to be here and out on campus the faithful were prepared.

By the end of the first half, it was 38-0, though, and the crowds thinned rapidly.

Not sure what was happening, but today was one of the longest commutes home I’ve had. No one was in a rush and no one was doing anything really dumb. The summer heat has maybe beat everyone down a little more than usual.

She pulled up with an “In God We Trust” sticker on her plate, parked illegally in a fire zone, then was gruff with the folks at the counter.

I may have left a larger tip at our favorite take out place.
