Last holiday concert I’ll attend at Tiny Town College. It included an ensemble piece about texting at the holidays … it was interesting.
Gatherings
The end of the semester also means faculty meetings and faculty holiday greetings, complete with a pie contest.
Corners
And here we go again … starting year ten of the one-year, photo-a-day project.
Versions of Paradise
We all have our interpretations of paradise. For some, it’s shorts in December. For others, it’s palm trees and technicolor beverages.
For me, it’s anywhere I can use my camera to share a little snippet of life – whether’s it’s sitting at the pharmacy waiting to pick up the dog’s medication or sitting at the same pharmacy, a few days later, to get my flu shot.
The joy of taking a four dimensional world and bringing it down to just two, to preserve a moment in time from a particular point of view … to me, that’s paradise.
And with this post, I close out 3,287 days of making and sharing a photo every day here on the phlog. Nine years, no misses.
Tomorrow, batteries charged up again, I’ll start year ten of what was supposed to be a one-year project. I can’t wait to see something new.
Group Photo
The kids wanted a class photo, so they lined up … and I stepped aside for a moment to make my own.
As with most photojournalists, I hate having my own picture made.
Escape
When the light is right, everything tries to get away.
Downtown at Night
With the students mostly out of town, we townies snuck out for some fun.
