After two decades here, I have some alumni who have astounded me – they’ve worked for National Geographic, CNN, Condé Nast Traveller, the MLB and become photojournalists, editors and judges.

We had one stop by today – Mackenzie Miles was in the Photo Cave just four years ago amd is now director of photography for the University of Maryland’s athletic department.

We blended a few intro classes, a great conversation.

Last year, I wandered out to the Madison County Agricultural Fair because … well, because I like a good fair and I was wondering if there was an opportunity to bring students out there. I had a grand time and, this year, we offered two days for the kids to come out and wander the fairgrounds with the photo profs. Tonight was the first and we had a dozen make the drive.

Of course, I wandered off on my own again …

The Mrs. spotted a buck a while back, maybe hit by a car, with an injured back leg. It has started showing up again, sometimes alone, sometimes as part of the herd.
