Starting near the end … after several hundred miles of twists and turns, my friends lead me up into the Great Smokey National Park where my 22 year old Miata rolled past 100,000 miles. It took a little finagling to get it there and find a place to photograph it, but we did it.

Headed out early this morning with three friends, all of us in Miatas. Tomorrow starts the 30th Miatas at the Gap event in Fontana Village, centered around the Tail of the Dragon stretch of byway. We wandered on our own, and will probably continue to, starting out on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
