A lot of work at the crosswalk I use every day and all they seemed to have accomplished was … painting new stripes and some minor landscaping. They poured footers for what I imagine are new traffic lights, but they’re no where to be seen.
Open and Distant
Opening day, start of my sixteenth year and it has never been this quiet. Faculty are finding ways to hold outdoor meetings, too.
Dark, Stormy and Scary
We stopped at the local car hop on the way home from an errand, just as storms swirled in. Took a while for them to take the order and, after 20 minutes of waiting, a server wandered out to another car, unmasked and unhurried.
We wandered home, saving cash and calories.
Prep, Closed
We start a new semester in two days, so campus preparations are in full swing. Except for Legion Pool, closed and drained as the site is being used for COVID screenings.
Unlit
Somebody asked for takeout from one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, where the margaritas are quite good. None to-go, though.
Multi
Patterns, again.
Signs of Faith
Found on the long way home.
