This is the second year of the Journalism Educators Institute, last year being in Athens. We have more than 50 journalism professors in from around the country to learn how to be better teachers. Lots of active listening and discussions today.

One of our speakers, Al Tompkins, came out a little early to speak to broadcasters from around the state. My co-director and friend gave him a big welcome.

In the evening, we had a reception with some contests and my friend Nick Henry, from Robert’s Camera, was on hand doing portraits of folks and their tattoos.
