I know summer means tomato-and-mayo sandwiches for many, but for me it means fresh corn. I have memories of road-side vegetable stands in front of the field the corn was harvested from. Boiled, doused in butter, pepper and salt … it’s summer sweetness on a cob.
The season has wound down and I feel behind, I missed a month of it this year. I won’t let that happen again.
