This is my third trip to Jekyll Island, and the second time I’ve stayed at the Jekyll Island Club. A wonderful building, even if it sometimes leaks during a storm.

On the drive back, half of which is on two-lane roads, not everything is as grand.

Tropical Storm Andrea blew through during the evening, so of course we went to the beach …

I was invited to do a few panels and presentations at the Georgia Press Association’s Annual Conference, which meant one thing: Road Trip.
Luckily, it was at the Jekyll Island Club, one of my favorite places in Georgia.
