Same evening, a mile and an hour apart.

Heading home, I took yet another route. So many things to explore along the way, including the old Ben Hill School and an abandoned gas station across the street in Hillsboro.

I woke to thunder storms, thankfully they all cleared out and the kids had a spectacular day.

It’s time for the eleventh annual fall photojournalism workshop, our second journey to the Georgia National Fair. It’s about 120 miles from Athens to Perry and I’d driven the route several times before. Took a few different turns this time, just to see what was hiding down some backroads around Forsyth.

Swing by the fair for a short check in, then off to dinner and a late night shop for supplies.

Sometimes I wait too long to make an image.

A little deconstruction outside the college today, not sure why.

For a little bit of fun in class and to celebrate National News Engagement Day, we all pointed at a story by Grady alum Justin Gillis on The New York Times’ web site.
