Generally, Mondays do not bring me good vibes.

It’s still a little surreal having these National Press Photographers Association board meetings here, watching people committed to visual journalism take an oath to support my association. Kyle Grantham, left, became treasurer today while President Melissa Lyttle and Vice President Michael King were reelected.

The National Press Photographers Association’s annual board meeting is here this weekend. There was an abundance of leftovers, so some of it came home.

Nothing to see here.

The grounds crew was out early, cleaning off a hillside along East Campus Drive.

A little graffiti, a little shadow, a little movement.

On a couple of occasions, the grounds crew has appeared with chainsaws and shredders to make old trees disappear. There is the occasional outcry when an old oak or birch comes down, but usually with good cause.

No one has lamented the removal of the last Bradfrd pear trees.
