The ability to learn from those who have made historic images is one of the highlights of attending the National Press Photographers Association Northern Short Course. Evan Vucci’s tick-tock of last year’s events in Butler, Pennsylvania, was riveting.

Later, a discussion amongst high-level editors about how they became managers was insightful and useful at the highest level. If you were paying attention, you could use that info to advance your career nicely.
