Publisher Matt Aiken and reporter Greg Finan, Jr., came down from the Dahlonege Nugget to talk about Lumpkin County, where the 14th Annual Woodall Weekend Workshop will be held later this semester. Lots of interesting characters and history to look into.

The last day of the National Press Photographers Association board meetings was full of planning sessions, figuring out how to better serve members and grow the association. Lots of time at the white board.


The Mrs. and I snuck in a dinner-and/at-movie night. Still not sure what the film was about …

The National Press Photographers Association has their annual board of directors meeting here this weekend, so I grabbed four of them to talk with students from around the region. We had good crowds for all the presentations, and NPPA President Michael King and Vice President Carolyn Hall watched from the wings. (Hall also presented.)
