After eight years, it may be time to accept that this deck just wasn’t built right. The boards are too tight, even after a couple of sealings they still absorb and swell shut. Going to try opening up the gap when it dries out, but I foresee a spring of Trex installation.

Which, given the current run-up in prices of building material, is going to be pricey.
