Old trees and new power outside of the college.

Old trees and new power outside of the college.

Things that make you wonder …

The steeple of the former St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is surrounded by scaffolding now. The church is long since gone, but the steeple never came down and is now being preserved as part of Athens’ music scene – R.E.M. played their first show at the church in 1980.

The trees on this hill are disappearing, one by one.

The petals are falling already.

The college’s halls are being repainted, causing a stripping of the trim. The new color is … fresh.

Grady College is celebrating it’s centennial year, this time by penning students, faculty and staff into the shape of a 100 on the lawn. We were all asked to wear red or black … though it was National Orange Day … I struggled.
Happy Anniversary to my alma mater.
