On the way back to town after a meeting in Atlanta … made it before this opened up.

I pass this rusted roof building every morning and afternoon on my way to campus. In ten years, I’ve never seen a soul near it.

I have spent the last few weekends slowly getting the yard in shape and part of that has been deciding what the front of the house should look like. In the back woods there’s one random Japanese maple that I’ve always liked, so we picked up two more saplings and put them out front.

The juxtaposition between the Pop Tarts and latex gloves just struck me as comical … it’s been a long time since I had a Pop Tart. Plain, no frosting, and frozen, please.

The campus has cleared out, the caps and gowns returned, but here and there is evidence of what was.

It’s been nearly a month since the Girl Child’s birthday and this balloon is still dragging around the house.
