Late afternoon light on an old building.

Tis the season for everything to peter out.

Wandering across campus late in the afternoon and I heard water. A little hunting found this small fountain I’d never seen before.

Same evening, a mile and an hour apart.

Heading home, I took yet another route. So many things to explore along the way, including the old Ben Hill School and an abandoned gas station across the street in Hillsboro.

I woke to thunder storms, thankfully they all cleared out and the kids had a spectacular day.

It’s time for the eleventh annual fall photojournalism workshop, our second journey to the Georgia National Fair. It’s about 120 miles from Athens to Perry and I’d driven the route several times before. Took a few different turns this time, just to see what was hiding down some backroads around Forsyth.

Swing by the fair for a short check in, then off to dinner and a late night shop for supplies.
