Parked next to an old Ford truck this morning. If my memory is correct, the fuel tank sits behind the bench seat in this model, sloshing right in back of the driver and passengers.


Was able to get up and walk around a bit today. We got lucky, mostly twigs and leaves down though a few big branches were shed, one clouting the edge of the shed.
Power went out Monday afternoon and we’re still dark Tuesday night. Lots of candles in use.



Storm hit this afternoon, strong winds and driving rain through to the late night hours.

Hurricane Irma is headed our way, so the all the things outside that could fly had to come in. And, shortly after shooting yesterday’s images, I leaned over to pick up a plastic shovel and popped something in my back.
The Mrs. And Medium Boy took on the brunt of preparations, hauling tables and chairs into the crawl space and living room.
Also, ouch.

An early morning errand run and I found some cut-back kudzu along the way.


The weather is turning and you can dine outdoors again, letting you see little slivers of light around campus.
