Got in two walks today, that never happens.

My former boss biked over to drop off some maple syrup that was sent to us by a friend. It’s getting to be a bit like a game of ding-dong-ditch – put something on a porch, ring the doorbell and then scamper out of range.
Downtown, local shoppers were respecting each other’s space as they waited to go into the Daily Grocery Co-op.

With all the other misery out there, it’s nice to know Mother Nature still wants to coat us in yellow …

With the county starting to shut down, the dog park has been locked up. Social distancing is becoming the forced norm.

We took a drive out of town to pick up some elastic cords and went by one of the many function places, Vintage Oak Farms. They usually have messages on a giant chalk board, all blank today.
At home, the Mrs. and Girl Child have started sewing masks.

Did one big shopping run today, tough when you’re limited to two of some items. Lots of different brands ended up in the cart.

You can look at this as two 20-plus year old siblings gaming together, which is a fine way to look at it.
But there’s some techy sentimentality for me here … my dad bought his first real camera while serving in Vietnam. It’s the camera that documented my youth, the camera he taught me on. And I still have that old Pentax Spotmatic and the lenses for it.
I ordered an adapter for his old lens to mount on one of my new digital cameras, to see what it would look like. That the light that was falling on my kids was bent by the same glass as light that was falling on me 40 years ago gave me a little chill, not going to lie.
