I headed to my second-floor office to grab something in the morning, glanced out the window and saw something swimming in the pool. By the time I got out there, it had been sucked into the skimmer basket.
Gentle poking and prodding wouldn’t get it out, so a solid shove with a fire poker sent the possum back into the water, where I was able to scoop it and … place it outside the fenced area.
Every heard one of those hiss and scream at the same time?
I needed a little sound insulation to get it out of my ears.

The stainless steel ladder in the pool was rusting pretty bad, so we ordered up a new one. First one was damaged in shipping. Second one didn’t fit, so back it goes. Changing to a different manufacturer for the third try.

Walking the aisles, I was surprised to see just a few packages. (Which we did not need because the Mrs. stocked up pre-pandemic.)
