
This has happened the last few summers, one of the trees out back grows leaves and then loses them mid-summer. Most of the limbs have died off now, so it’s sprouting from the trunk. No idea what is happening, but I think we’ll be taking it down.

There is almost nothing in this world I like more than fresh corn on a summer evening. I could eat a bushel of it, I think.

In the lobby of the local art theater, how else to pass the time?
