Several years ago, I started handing out honor cords to students who had finished our photojournalism program. This involves a little bit of time attaching camera charms to red-and-gold cords. And, when I give them out, I ask them why it’s red-and-gold … with a mild threat that an incorrect answer will have a grade revisited.
