Workshop, Wrap Up

Eatonton, Georgia

Adjacent to the old elementary school we’re working out of is a historic cemetery. Had me thinking about the kids who used to look out their classroom window and see obelisks dedicated to eight-day-old infants.

We finished up this afternoon, packed everything up and rolled on home. I won’t see the work for a week or so, but the feeling is good right now – lots of learning, lots of growth, lots of awareness of their possibilities.

Workshopping, Day Two

Eatonton, Georgia

Second day and things are getting weird. We had some miscommunications earlier in the week about our work space (solved, thankfully), but late last night we ran into a problem with our lodging … and that was just the start of it.

None of it is impacting the student experiences (well, some is, indirectly), but it has been odd.
