It’s football season and the start of the semester, that means it’s time to head out on Friday nights with the kids. I usually focus on Oglethorpe County as it’s where we run the weekly paper (all done by our students) and it’s close to where I live, but they don’t have a home game until week three. So, up to Madison County High School we went, a field I’ve never been on.

Artificial turf field was unexpected, though, after the earlier storms meant no mud, and the narrow sideline areas made moving around a little challenging. I talked with my kids, some folks from the school and the local paper’s photographer at length and still managed to click off more than 2,000 frames. Stayed mostly on action to get the rust broken up, next week will look for more features.
