The time has come for us to revamp the automotive fleet. Changing priorities (and, I’ll be honest, desires) have us looking to turn over 75% of the cars in the driveway. My Subaru is up for grabs, Declan is on Craigslist now and the wife’s Ford will go eventually, as well.

Northern Light
I don’t post many links here, but Khoi Vinh has a photo on his site today that reminds me of something I miss – finding the warm light of winter.
On Coke Zeros and MRIs
It has been three years since I last visited southern New Jersey, an area with amazing roads in the Pine Barrens forests … and very weird exurbs.
Morning Mist
Headed in to work just as the sun was starting to warm the world. Not quite a frost, but a heavy dew was just letting go of it’s grasp on some car windshields.
Fall Colors
Fall comes oddly here in georgia. Some trees change quickly, some none at all. We have four crepe myrtles around the yard. Two just dropped all their leaves, two burst into color. Weird.
Fall of the Season
Aside from winter, fall is my favorite season. Spring is okay, summer, too, though not here in Georgia – too damned hot. And winter only if it’s a really good one – 175 inches or more of snow, deep cold snaps that send you huddling on the couch with cocoa.
Photoshop … In Real Life
Thanks to Khoi Vinh’s awesome blog, Subtraction (I read it just for the design of the page sometimes), for sending me to this image of a real-world Photoshop canvas.
